Pocket BOSBOK Vocabulary of Assumed Business Knowledge (Glossary)

This is the vocabulary or glossary of business terms and expressions providing a definition, identifying aliases (or synonyms) and linking to related terms. The listing is aimed at business users as well as graduate students wanting the convenience of a business vocabulary on their iPhone. Unlike many business dictionaries which target specific disciplines (for example, finance or information technology) this vocabulary spans all aspects of business. A feature of the definitions is that more than one sense (or definition) is provided when a term or expression can be used in a specific, broad or multiple senses.

The app is drawn from the book Foundations of the Assumed Business Operations and Strategy Body of Knowledge: An outline of shareable knowledge book published in 2012 by Darlington Press, an imprint of Sydney University Press. This book examines the assumed knowledge of business in several dimensions (stages of the life cycle, adaptive behaviour, leveraging resources, recurring themes, and the vocabulary of business).
